Last, but not least, a vintage Bates twin bedspread. Beautiful colors, but there are quite a few pulls over the entire spread and a number of very small spots...
But, look at the back side of it.... just a lovely as the top...
So, what do I do with a beautiful spread with tiny pulls and spots? Any ideas?

Totally loving the divided dinner plates! And I love all the great cloth patters. I'm sure you'll put those linens to good uses.

I've pulled pulls to the "back" or "off" side and then knotted them and cut off the ends. You could use a large needle tho thread the pull to the other side or try to weave it back into the fabric, if you don't want to cut it. I have had EXCELLENT luck with oxi clean, but you would have to check to see how color fast your spread is...check on line and do some research about that.
ReplyDeleteOxi Clean got some awful stains out of some vintage linens, they soaked for a while, but the results were worth it.
I use a very small metal crochet needle to pull to the back!
DeleteThanks for the tips, Suzie Q. I will give them a try.
