Remember These Lovelies...

I wrote about finding some treasures that had been thrown out after my friend's neighbor passed away.  The beautiful, vintage, hand-crocheted bedspread sold for $89.99 BIN and the vintage wood, 1200 or so piece puzzle went for $72.00 final bid.  I don't make a habit of digging through the trash, but when I see valuable items left by the road I am not too proud to stop and check them out. Pays to check out the cast offs sometimes. :)

  1. Can't believe someone would throw away such a lovely bedspread. Glad you were able to make a profit, I too am not above going through the trash.

  2. I figure it's my duty as a good citizen to keep perfectly good items from ending up in the landfill! And if I can make a little $$ while I'm at it, then that's just a bonus. ;) I can't believe anyone would toss either of those treasures--glad you were there to rescue them! That puzzle is really neat.
