I posted this print type drawer recently which I purchased for $1.00 at a family run estate sale. It sold on Ebay last week for $33.00.
Found this sweet little clover canister at the shop where I used to have a booth for $2.00. Think I will keep it. I think it may be a grease pot, it is darkened inside on bottom with much crazing. The cute little bear bank did not sell so maybe I will keep him, too.
This piece was purchased at a thrift shop for $6.00. I sold it before closing my booth for $24.99. Not sure if I under priced it or not.
I am still having trouble buying for resell. Guess I need to clean out more. There were many sales this weekend, but I could not get into shopping. Found two 1970's Raggedy Ann Andy patterns, which I think may bring a decent price. When I get my picture issue with Picasa solved I will post some new pics.

Vintage & Resale Finds...
I hit five or so yard sales today and one thrift store. Most of my treasure came from the very first sale I visited. There I found this sweet 50's or 60's Club Roaster/Dutch Oven, which will be going on Ebay or Etsy if my daughter does not want it.
At same sale found this NIB Battat 7" collectible toy horse. Could not find one like it on Ebay, but did find his bigger brothers, going for about $20.00. He will be posted to Ebay Sunday evening.
Well, I was going to post more pictures but Google will not let me, says my Picasa Web Albums space is full. Even after deleting many folders full of pictures they still say I have used all my space. Hmmm... anybody else having this problem? I will try to figure it out and get back to posting all the great loot I found today. Hope your thrifting this week was fabulous!

Some New Thrift Finds ...
Found at yard sale and now listed on Ebay is this copper plate art of a Fox Hunt by Elpec of England .
Also found this vintage framed La Mode Illustree tinted print which I believe is a reproduction from the 40's ... soon to be listed on Ebay.
This sweet vintage apron was a recent find as well. Soon to be listed on Ebay.
Lastly, but not vintage, a cute pair of red wood salt and pepper shakers with tole painting.

Thrift Finds, Good and Bad ...
Found this cute little Easter bunny lamp for $2.00 at an estate sale. He sold last week on Ebay for $15.50.
Also found this Russian Legends collectible plate with original box and certificate, etc. Only paid $1 for it, which is good as I have listed it twice on Ebay with absolutely no interest shown.
This vintage pink linen tablecloth went for $5.99 at second listing. First round I listed it for $9.99 with no bids.
Found this little fellow at a yard sale for 50 cents. You squeeze his left foot, hold and record a message, release, then squeeze his tummy to hear your message played back in a gnome-type voice. Really cute. Guess I put him on Ebay too early - before Gnomeo and Juliet was released. May try him again later.
This item will begin auction tomorrow, Sunday, and I started it at $9.99. It is a Hamilton Printer's Type Tray/Drawer. I paid $1 for it at the same estate sale where I found the Easter bunny lamp.
I am so tired of the clutter so have been very picky lately about what I bring home. Also, I have not visited many thrift stores or sales lately. Maybe when warm weather returns I'll be in a better shopping mood. :)

Early Spring Clean Up & Vintage Wool Coat Rescue
So, I closed my resell booth and have only been selling minimally on Ebay. Have been trying to clean out my side of the garage in hopes of actually parking my van inside it again. All the clutter has finally gotten to me and long ago to my husband. He is a tidy, everything goes in it's place kind of guy and has to deal with my collections of "treasure". I am making headway, which is helped by the fact that the few thrift shops and yard/estate sales I have visited recently have had nearly nothing of interest to me. Maybe it's my frame of mind.
Remember the vintage wool coat I found that looked like a bear? The tag says it was made in The Netherlands. Here's a shot of it modeled by one of my lovely daughters. It never sold on Ebay and is too large for any of us, but I am having a hard time parting with it. Any ideas of something I could make with it?
Hope you are having a fantastic February!
Blessings, Leah :)

Birdie Collection
Porecelain Rooster and Marble Hen
Birds are such lovely creatures. I did not start out to collect them, but sure enjoy these imitations of our feathered little friends.
Barbara at Warm Woolen Mittens has a nice collection of bird sewing projects and photography she has taken near her home in Scotland. I love her British term, Budgies, the equivalent of our "Birdies" I suppose.
Salt and Peppers from my oldest daughter
(L) Cast Iron Figure, (R) Resin Candleholder
OK, he's not a bird, but a sweet little furry friend
When my children were still here being home schooled we kept a bird guide close at hand to identify the different varieties. In Florida we have tiny to huge, sparrows to Great Blue Herons. One thing I loved about home schooling was the ability to spend time studying things that appeared in our daily living - animals, news events, etc.
Hope you are enjoying the sights and sounds of our feathered and furry friends. :)
