One of the thrift stores I frequent is only open two days a week, so I try to show up one of those days before opening time... there is always a line. After entering there yesterday I went to my normal sections, but found nothing of interests so looked at the jewelry, but nothing grand there either.
Then, I glanced up and saw a large set of quality stainless behind the counter. It was Oneida's Heirloom Dover Glossy 18/10 Stainless - advertised as 45 pieces for $65. There were actually only 42 pieces. Anyway, they were in excellent condition - most looked never used and 14 pieces were still in the original plastic sleeves. Still, I had to think about plunking down $65 for them. At yard sales I will offer less, but not at a church-run store that feeds those less fortunate than others. I decided to get them. They are now listed for auction in my Ebay Store here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oneida-Dover-Heirloom-Glossy-18-10-Stainless-Flatware-42-Pieces-/280781486128?pt=Flatware&hash=item415fe17830. Hopefully, someone is looking for a set to celebrate the Holidays. :)
