Shells and Flowers...

On Sunday my blogging friend,  Barabara, posted a simple picture of a solitary shell.  She posts beautiful pictures.  Thanks, Barbara. :)  Anyway, it reminded me of the shells I found at the beach last month and have placed on a shelf near our front door.  Here they are:

You can find Barbara's blog here: http://warmwoollenmittens.wordpress.com/

One of the shells has a lacy plastic looking something on it.  Do not have any idea what it is, but thought it was lovely.  Here is a close-up of it:

We also celebrated Mother's Day while at the beach.  I received a basket full of fun spa type items, some edible goodies, the Human Planet DVD series and these sweet flowers one of my daughters made from felt and fabric scraps.

Here is a close-up of them...

Also wanted to show you this unique item I picked up at a church rummage sale.  Someone had placed a silk daisy in an old glass doorknob.  It now sits on the shelf next to my shells.

Have you come across many creative craft ideas lately?

Love and Blessings, Leah

  2. Love those fabric flowers. What a special gift. Thanks for the comments about my little snail. Wasn't he a sweetie? He (or she) had slithered about 6ft up a vertical wall to be in the perfect position for me to photograph!
The name of your lacy shell is on the tip of my tongue but I'll have to get back to you on it!
